About Me
Hello! I'm Bassey Jeremiah Usang, a Data Analyst, Public Health Researcher, and Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist with a growing portfolio in data science, health informatics, and geospatial analytics. I hold Master's degree in Health Economics and have successfully contributed to several large-scale development projects funded by USAID, Global Fund, and other international agencies.
My data journey began as a Data Enumerator and evolved rapidly as I mastered tools such as Power BI, DHIS2, SQL, SPSS, STATA, Python, ArcGIS, and QGIS. I have delivered analytic insights and reports for health programs focused on HIV/AIDS, OVC, Maternal and Child Health, and routine immunization.
Over the years, I've worked with organizations such as Society for Family Health, GEOANALTECH LTD/GTE, and Centre for Clinical Care and Clinical Research Nigeria, where I led data quality assessments, field supervision, dashboard development, and strategic learning for program optimization. I currently serve as the Technical Lead for Training & Development at Geospatial Analytics Technologies (GEOANALTECH), where I support capacity-building programs and lead our PEPTalk Series and Data Bootcamps.
As a founding member and mentor within GEOANALTECH, I have helped design and deliver free learning series on tools like Excel, Power BI, SPSS, SQL, Python, and STATA to over 2,000 learners across Africa — democratizing access to tech and data literacy.
My mission is simple: Use data as a force for good. Whether its tracking disease outbreaks, improving health systems, or training the next generation of analysts — I’m committed to solutions that are sustainable, inclusive, and evidence-based.
